We were contracted for 12 months to help the project teams focus on execution and improve project affordability. We produced:
A policy ensuring Execution experts are deployed during the Assess and Select phases and not just during Define.
A process that required execution teams to identify and solve their major execution challenges as early as possible during the project.
A coordinated contract strategy that gave the company better access to execution contractors across their entire project portfolio.
We ran implementation health checks.

Improved Mega-project's execution strategy

We identified and agreed 20 key execution challenges with the project team.
Analysed the risk register and grouped the execution risks showing that the vast majority were related to the 20 key execution challenges.
Set up teams with charters to address each challenge and delivered a “Deep Dive” workshop for one of them.
Ran contract strategy workshops that reflected the execution challenges.
Restructured the Project Execution Plan to focus on the key challenges and risks.

Setting up a large Gas to Liquids venture

We were contracted for 12 months to help the project teams focus on execution and improve project affordability.
We identified and prioritised the key challenges faced by the executive team responsible for setting up a Gas to Liquids venture in the Middle East.
Together with the team we developed a plan describing all key activities until and beyond project sanction.
